Cinnamon Roll Blondies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar, mixing until smooth.
3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating well to combine.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
7. In a small bowl, mix ground cinnamon and granulated sugar.
8. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
9. Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter to create a marbled effect.
10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
11. While the blondies bake, prepare the frosting by beating softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and spreadable.
12. Allow blondies to cool completely before spreading the cream cheese frosting over the top.
