Garlic Butter Seared Scallops 🦪🔥
Perfectly golden seared scallops in a rich garlic butter sauce with a hint of lemon and spice!
📝 Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) large sea scallops, patted dry
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
🍽️ Directions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Scallops:
Pat scallops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
2️⃣ Sear to Perfection:
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add scallops and sear 1.5-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove from pan and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
Lower heat to medium and melt butter in the same pan.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds.
Stir in lemon juice and return scallops to the pan for 30 seconds, spooning sauce over them.
4️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
