Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
¾ cup (150g) sugar (brown or white)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg (or flax egg for vegan)
½ cup (60g) cocoa powder
½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup (90g) chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan.
Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
Mix wet ingredients: Stir in melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg until well combined.
Sift in dry ingredients: Add cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips for extra richness.
