Chicken in Honey Garlic Sauce
Recipe:
2 pounds chicken with skin (2 thighs and legs, 2 wings or any slice chicken of choice)
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Sauce:
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons oil
6 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp fresh ginger grated
1 tbsp rice vinegar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons water
1 tsp cornstarch
*mix well in a small bowl
Garnish:
Sesame seeds
Green onions
Steps:
Season the chicken with salt and pepper with cornstarch. Set aside.
In a frying pan, add oil, fry the chicken on medium heat, about 5-6 minutes in each side. Remove from pan.
In the same pan, add the premade sauce, mix and let it bubbles for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add the fried chicken. Cook for about 2 minutes. Garnish toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Enjoy on top of rice.
