Pumpkin Dog Treats

Ingredients:
½ cup pumpkin puree
¼ cup applesauce
3 tbsp peanut butter (xylitol-free)
1 egg
2 cups whole wheat flour
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a sheet pan by lining it with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, use a stand or hand mixer to beat together the pumpkin puree, applesauce, peanut butter, and egg until well combined.
Gradually mix in the whole wheat flour, salt, and baking soda until just combined.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4- 1/2 inch thickness.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the treats and place them evenly on the prepared sheet pan.
Bake in the oven for 15-25 minutes, depending on how crunchy you want the treats to be.
Allow the treats to cool completely on a rack before serving to your furry friend.
Notes :
Make sure the peanut butter you use does not contain xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.
Store these treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
For longer storage, you can freeze the treats in a freezer-safe container for a few months.
