Rich and Flavourful Chicken Gravy Curry πβ¨
This hearty chicken gravy curry is made with tender chicken simmered in a fragrant, spiced tomato-based sauce. Itβs perfect with rice, naan, or roti for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:

Onions: 2 medium, finely chopped
π§ Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
π§ Ginger: 1 tbsp, minced

Tomatoes: 3 medium, blended into a smooth purΓ©e
π Chicken: 500g, bone-in or boneless, cut into pieces
π₯ Turmeric Powder: Β½ tsp
πΆοΈ Chilli Powder: 1 tsp (adjust to taste)

π₯ Garam Masala: 1 tsp
π Cumin Powder: Β½ tsp
π§ Salt: To taste
π΅ Water: 200ml (adjust for preferred consistency)

Method:
1. π₯ Heat the Oil:
In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sautΓ© until golden brown (8β10 minutes).

Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1β2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the blended tomato purΓ©e and cook for 5β7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil separates and the sauce thickens.

Sprinkle in the turmeric, chilli powder, ground coriander, cumin powder, and salt. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring well.

Add the chicken pieces to the pan, stirring to coat them in the spice mixture. Cook for 5 minutes to lightly brown the chicken.

Pour in the water, cover the pan, and simmer over low heat for 20β25 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through. Stir occasionally and adjust the water if needed for your preferred consistency.
7. π Finish with Garam Masala:
Stir in the garam masala and let the curry simmer for another 2 minutes.
