Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye, ~150g each) 🥩
1 tbsp olive oil 🫒
1 tbsp butter 🧈
2 garlic cloves, smashed 🧄
Salt & black pepper to taste
For the Rice:
1 cup cooked basmati or jasmine rice 🍚
Salt and pepper for seasoning
For the Tomato Salad:
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved 🍅
1 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, chopped 🌿
1 tsp olive oil 🫒
1 tsp balsamic vinegar or lemon juice 🍋
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cook the Rice: Prepare the rice according to package instructions. Keep warm and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Prepare the Tomato Salad: In a small bowl, mix halved cherry tomatoes with chopped herbs, olive oil, lemon juice (or vinegar), and season with salt and pepper.
Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear 3–4 minutes per side, then add butter and garlic. Baste the steak with garlic butter for 1–2 more minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assemble the Plate: Serve steak slices with a scoop of rice and a portion of tomato salad on the side.
