Onion Beef Fried Rice 🍚
Delicious and fulfilling meal perfect for any time!
📋 Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old and cold)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots etc.)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
📝 Instructions
1. Prepare the rice: Use cold, day-old rice for best results. It's less likely to clump and will fry up nicely.
2. Cook the beef: Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
3. Sauté aromatics: Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
4. Add vegetables: Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
5. Combine with rice: Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef and vegetables.
6. Season: Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to coat the rice evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Serve hot: Garnish with green onions or cilantro, if desired.
