🍗🇫🇷 Poulet Basquaise
A colorful Basque-style chicken dish with peppers, tomatoes, and aromatic herbs. A rustic French favorite full of Mediterranean flavors 🌶️🍅.
Ingredients:
• 1 whole chicken (cut into pieces)
• 2 red bell peppers
• 2 green bell peppers
• 1 onion, sliced
• 3 tomatoes, diced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 150 ml white wine
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp paprika
• Fresh thyme & bay leaf
• Salt & pepper
Instructions:
1️⃣ Heat olive oil in a pan and brown chicken pieces. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ In the same pan, sauté onions, garlic, and peppers until softened.
3️⃣ Add diced tomatoes, paprika, thyme, and bay leaf. Cook for 5 minutes.
4️⃣ Return chicken to the pan, pour in white wine, and season with salt & pepper.
5️⃣ Cover and simmer for 35–40 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
6️⃣ Serve hot with rice or crusty bread 🍞🍷.
