Spicy Garlic Korean Fried Chicken ππ₯
Double-fried chicken coated in a sticky, spicy garlic glaze.
Ingredients:
2 lbs (900g) chicken wings or drumsticks
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Oil for frying
For the Sauce
2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp rice vinegar
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken: Mix cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, and cayenne. Coat the chicken evenly.
Fry Twice: Heat oil in a deep pot. Fry the chicken in batches for 6-8 minutes. Remove, let cool, and fry again for extra crispiness.
Make the Sauce: In a pan, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and rice vinegar. Heat until thickened.
Coat the Chicken: Toss the fried chicken in the spicy garlic sauce.
Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy hot.
