Savory Pepper Steak with Colorful Bell Peppers
Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Cooked white rice, for serving
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Green onions, sliced for garnish
Directions:
In a bowl, toss sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the steak and sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the beef broth, brown sugar, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together.
Drizzle with sesame oil and stir for another minute until heated through and coated well.
Serve hot over steamed rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
