Crock Pot Smothered Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: fresh herbs for garnish
Directions:
Season your pork chops with a generous amount of salt and pepper. Heat up some olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and give the pork chops a nice browning on both sides. In your slow cooker, combine the sliced onion, minced garlic, cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth, stirring everything together. Then, lay your browned pork chops on top of this mixture. Cover the slow cooker and let the magic happen on low for about 6 to 8 hours, or until the pork is just melt-in-your-mouth tender. When they're ready, serve up these flavorful chops with the rich gravy over a bed of rice or creamy mashed potatoes. A sprinkle of fresh herbs can add a lovely touch if you have them on hand. Enjoy!
