Everything Stir Fry Sauce
Keep this easy homemade Stir Fry Sauce on hand and make a restaurant quality Asian stir fry dinner at home.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil.
2. Add brown sugar to the sauce mixture and stir until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
4. Heat the stir-fry sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
5. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the saucepan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
6. Pour in the cornstarch slurry while continuously whisking to prevent lumps.
7. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
8. Remove from heat and ready to mix with your favorite stir fry vegetables or seafood. Or let it cool and store in refrigerator for 1 week.
