Salmon and Shrimp in Cajun Cream Sauce
Indulge in the bold, flavorful combination of salmon and shrimp, bathed in a creamy Cajun sauce that’s perfect for a cozy dinner or a special meal. 🦐🐟✨
Ingredients:
2 salmon fillets
10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Cooked pasta or rice, for serving
Instructions:
Season the seafood: Generously coat the salmon fillets and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Cook the salmon: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the salmon fillets in the pan, cooking each side for 4-5 minutes until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the shrimp: In the same skillet, cook the shrimp for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the salmon.
Sauté garlic and onion: If needed, add a little more oil to the skillet. Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion until the onion becomes translucent and soft.
Make the cream sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing the sauce to thicken as it heats.
Combine seafood with sauce: Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, gently coating them in the creamy sauce. Let everything warm through for a minute or two.
Serve: Plate the salmon and shrimp over cooked pasta or rice, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
