Melt-in-Your-Mouth Braised Pork Belly with Napa Cabbage
Ingredients:

2 lbs pork belly, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups napa cabbage, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 cups chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Directions:

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the pork belly pieces and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the pork belly and set aside.
In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Return the pork belly to the pot, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, brown sugar, and chicken broth. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Cover and cook on low heat for 1 to 1.5 hours, until the pork belly is tender and the flavors have melded together.
In the last 15 minutes of cooking, add the napa cabbage to the pot and stir.
Drizzle with sesame oil before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot with steamed rice for a comforting meal.
