π« Easy No-Bake Chocolate & Cream Layered Dessert π°
A heavenly, no-fuss dessert with layers of rich chocolate and creamy goodness β no oven needed! Perfect for special occasions or whenever you crave something indulgent.
π Makes a 9-inch (23 cm) round dessert.
β¨ Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Cookie Crust:
β’ 20β24 Oreo cookies (about 2 cups crumbs)
β’ 6 tbsp (85g) unsalted butter, melted
Choose Your Creamy Layer:
Option 1 β Classic Vanilla Cream:
β’ 2 blocks cream cheese (8 oz / 226g each), softened
β’ 1 cup (200g) powdered sugar
β’ 1 tsp vanilla extract
β’ 2 cups (480ml) cold heavy cream
Option 2 β Peanut Butter Twist:
β’ 2 blocks cream cheese (8 oz / 226g each), softened
β’ Β½ cup (120g) creamy peanut butter
β’ 1 cup (200g) powdered sugar
β’ 1 tsp vanilla extract
β’ 2 cups (480ml) cold heavy cream
For the Chocolate Ganache Layer:
β’ Β½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
β’ 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
Toppings (Optional but Recommended π):
β’ Whipped cream (Β½ cup heavy cream + 1β2 tbsp powdered sugar + ΒΌ tsp vanilla)
β’ Chocolate sauce or extra ganache
β’ Chocolate bars, chunks, or shavings (Kit Kat, fudge pieces, etc.)
π§ Instructions:
1. Make the Crust:
β’ Crush the Oreo cookies (with filling) into fine crumbs using a food processor or by sealing in a bag and smashing with a rolling pin.
β’ Mix crumbs with melted butter until fully combined.
β’ Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
β’ Chill in the fridge for 15β20 minutes.
2. Make the Cream Layer (Choose 1):
β’ Beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
β’ Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and peanut butter (if using). Mix well.
β’ In a separate bowl, whip cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
β’ Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Donβt overmix.
3. Prepare the Ganache:
β’ Heat Β½ cup heavy cream until it just begins to simmer.
β’ Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit 5 minutes.
β’ Whisk until silky smooth. Let it cool to room temp β still pourable, not hot.
4. Assemble the Layers:
β’ Spread half of the creamy filling over the chilled crust.
β’ Carefully pour the ganache over it and spread evenly.
β’ Top with the remaining creamy mixture. Smooth the surface.
β’ Cover and chill in the fridge for 4β6 hours or overnight.
5. Decorate & Serve:
β’ Once set, remove the springform ring.
β’ Whip cream for topping, if using, and decorate with chocolate drizzle, cream dollops, and chocolate chunks.
β’ Slice and enjoy chilled! π
