Reese’s Peanut Butter Earthquake Cake

Ingredients:

1 box chocolate fudge cake mix (plus eggs, oil, and water per box instructions)

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, halved

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup peanut butter chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the box instructions and pour it into the prepared baking dish.

In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter—do not stir.

Sprinkle chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups evenly over the top. Add chocolate chips and peanut butter chips for extra indulgence.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly—don’t overbake!

Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or chilled.
