Spicy Marinated boiled Eggs!
I love Korean Style!
Recipe:
7 eggs at room temperature
1 tsp salt
1 tablespoon vinegar
Water to boil
Marinade:
5 cloves garlic minced
3 green peppers diced
2 red peppers
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup green onions
1 tbsp Korean pepper
2 tbsp mirin
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp sesame seeds
Steps:
In a large bowl, add all marinade ingredients. Mix well and store in the refrigerator while we boil the eggs.
In a medium size pot, add enough water, salt and vinegar. Let it boils. Once boil, add the eggs and reduce the temperature.
For soft boiled, Let it simmer for 6 minutes and transfer to an ice bath. Let it sit for 10 minutes and start peeling.
For hard boiled, let it simmer for 10-11 minutes and transfer to an ice bath.
Add the peeled eggs to the marinade. Cover in a sealed and airtight container. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week. Ready to after next day. Serve on top of rice or noodles. Enjoy!
