GROUND BEEF CHOW MEIN
2 lb. ground beef
salt to taste
2-3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 cup water
1 cup celery, sliced
1/2 cup carrots, sliced
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 beef bouillon cube
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can chinese beanspouts or chow mein vegetables
2 Tbsp. water
Use Dutch oven. Brown hamburger, drain. Add mushrooms, salt, ginger, soy sauce, bouillon cube and water. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add onion, celery, carrots, and beansprouts. Combine cornstarch and 2 Tablespoons water and stir into mixture. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve over a bed of rice and/or chow mein noodles.
