🍫 Reese’s Peanut Butter Ball Dessert 🍫
Ingredients
1 cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Sprinkles or crushed peanuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and evenly combined. The mixture should hold together when pressed between your fingers.
Shape the Balls:
Scoop out small portions of the peanut butter mixture using a cookie scoop or tablespoon. Roll each portion into a smooth ball using your hands and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes to firm up.
Melt the Chocolate Coating:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until fully melted and smooth.
Coat the Peanut Butter Balls:
Using a fork, dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the ball back onto the parchment paper. Immediately sprinkle with optional toppings like sprinkles or crushed peanuts while the chocolate is still wet.
Set the Chocolate:
Once all the balls are coated, return the tray to the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden completely. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
