Ingredients:
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red and green sprinkles for decoration
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Immediately add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir until well coated.
5. Allow the mixture to cool slightly until it is safe to handle.
6. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
7. Place the balls on a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
8. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
9. Dip each rice krispie ball into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
10. Place the dipped balls back onto the wax paper and sprinkle with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch.
11. Refrigerate the balls for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
