Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake
Ingredients:
1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter cups, coarsely chopped (about 12-14 cups, depending on size)
1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. You can also spray it with baking spray for easier cleanup.
2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, peanut butter, milk, and eggs. Mix well until just combined; don't overmix. The batter will be thick.
3. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
5. Sprinkle the chopped peanut butter cups evenly over the batter.
6. Pour the remaining batter over the peanut butter cups and spread to evenly cover them.
7. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake batter. You can use a spoon or a pastry brush for this step.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached (it shouldn't be completely clean, as this is a moist cake).
9. Let the cake cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving. This allows the cake to set up and makes it easier to cut into neat pieces. The cooling process also intensifies the flavors. Enjoy!
