For the peanut butter cheesecake filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla or chocolate pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
For topping (optional but fun!):
- Crushed Oreos
- Mini peanut butter cups or chocolate chips
- Melted peanut butter drizzle

Step 1: Make the Oreo "dirt"
1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or zip-top bag and rolling pin.
2. Reserve about 1/2 cup for topping. (Mix with melted butter if you want a firmer crust.)
3. Press 2/3 of the cookie crumbs into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish or trifle bowl.
Step 2: Make the pudding mixture
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together instant pudding mix and cold milk.
2. Let sit for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
Step 3: Make the peanut butter filling
1. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
2. Fold in whipped topping until light and fluffy.
3. Gently stir in the prepared pudding until fully combined and smooth.
Step 4: Assemble the dirt cake
1. Spread the peanut butter cheesecake mixture evenly over the Oreo layer.
2. Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top to resemble βdirt.β
3. Add optional toppings like mini peanut butter cups or gummy worms.
