🍬🇫🇷 Nougat de Montélimar
A chewy and nutty delight from Provence made with honey, sugar, egg whites, and toasted nuts. A festive French candy tradition! 🍯🌰
Ingredients:
• 200 g honey
• 200 g sugar
• 2 egg whites
• 100 g almonds
• 100 g pistachios
• 50 g glucose (optional)
• Rice paper (for lining)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Toast almonds and pistachios until golden.
2️⃣ Whip egg whites to stiff peaks.
3️⃣ Heat honey, sugar, and glucose to 145°C.
4️⃣ Gradually pour syrup into egg whites.
5️⃣ Fold in toasted nuts.
6️⃣ Spread mixture between rice paper sheets.
7️⃣ Let set, cut into squares, and enjoy 🍭.
