Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe (Kimchi Bokkeumbap)
A bold, spicy, and umami-packed dish made with fermented kimchi, rice, and a touch of sesame topped with a perfect fried egg. 🍳🔥
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
½ cup kimchi (chopped) + 2 tbsp kimchi juice
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
½ cup diced tofu or cooked protein (optional)
2 green onions (chopped)
1 fried egg (for topping)
Sesame seeds & nori strips (for garnish)
Preparation:
Heat sesame oil in a pan and sauté kimchi until fragrant.
Add kimchi juice, gochujang, and soy sauce, then mix well.
Stir in rice and cook until fully coated and heated through.
Add tofu or protein, if using, and mix.
Top with a fried egg, green onions, sesame seeds, and nori.
