A deliciously crispy chicken dish tossed with fiery chilies, garlic, and aromatic spices—perfect for spice lovers!
Ingredients:
• 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
• ½ cup cornstarch
• 1 large egg, beaten
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Stir-Fry:
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 small red chili, thinly sliced
• 1 small green chili, thinly sliced
• 1 small onion, thinly sliced
• ½ teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
• 1 tablespoon soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon sesame oil
• 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
1. Prep the Chicken:
Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss with cornstarch, ensuring each piece is well-coated, then dip into the beaten egg.
2. Fry the Chicken:
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
