Chinese Beef and Onion Stir Fry 🥩
Ingredients:
1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
1 large onion, sliced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp ginger, minced
Sauce:
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Directions:
1️⃣ In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
2️⃣ Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry onions for 2 minutes until slightly soft.
4️⃣ Add garlic and ginger, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
5️⃣ Return beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce and mix well.
6️⃣ Stir in cornstarch mixture and cook for 1 more minute until the sauce thickens.
7️⃣ Serve hot with rice and enjoy!
