Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken 🍯🍗🌿
Ingredients:
500g boneless chicken thighs or breast, cut into pieces
½ cup cornstarch
1 egg, beaten 🥚
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Honey Garlic Sauce:
3 tbsp honey 🍯
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice 🍋
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
Instructions:
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Dip each piece in beaten egg, then coat with cornstarch.
2. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy, then set aside on a rack or paper towel.
3. In a pan, melt butter, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
4. Add cornstarch mixture and simmer until the sauce thickens.
5. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
