Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak 🌶️

Ingredients:

2 lbs beef sirloin, sliced into 2-inch strips

¾ teaspoon garlic powder

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 beef bouillon cube

¼ cup hot water

1 tablespoon cornstarch

½ cup onion, chopped

2 large green bell peppers, chopped

1 can (14.5 oz) stewed tomatoes (with liquid)

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Sprinkle beef strips evenly with garlic powder.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown beef strips for about 5 minutes per side until lightly browned, then transfer to slow cooker.

In a small bowl, dissolve beef bouillon cube in hot water. Mix in cornstarch until smooth.

Pour the cornstarch mixture over beef strips in the slow cooker.

Add chopped onion, green bell peppers, stewed tomatoes with liquid, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Stir well to combine.

Cover slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, or on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, until beef is tender.

Stir gently and serve hot, over rice or noodles.
