Cheesy Ground Beef Rice Casserole 🧀🍴
A hearty, one-dish wonder made with tender rice, seasoned beef, and a rich, cheesy sauce — baked to bubbly, golden perfection!
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups cooked white rice
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
Brown the beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Drain excess grease.
Combine ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef, rice, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheddar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully combined.
Assemble the casserole:
Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish. Top with more shredded cheddar.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the cheese is golden on top.
Garnish & serve:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm!
