My homemade version of General Tso Sauce
Great for stirfry if you want a bit spicy!
Recipe:
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger (feel free to add more)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons chili sauce
1-2 teaspoon pepper flakes
3/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Steps:
In a small bowl, add all ingredients. Whisk well until fully combined. Set aside.
In a stove, turn on heat and warm a saucepan. Add the mixture. Whisk until boils to prevent lumps. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat. Ready to use or store in fridge up to 3 days.
