Honey Garlic Salmon & Shrimp over Garlic Butter Rice

Ingredients

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Salmon & Shrimp:

2 salmon fillets

8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

For the Garlic Butter Rice:

1 cup uncooked white rice

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups chicken broth or water

Salt to taste

Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Garlic Butter Rice: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add rice and stir for another minute. Pour in broth or water, add salt, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 15–18 minutes until rice is fluffy and liquid is absorbed.

Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

Cook the Salmon: Season salmon with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side up for 3–4 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add butter. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.

Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet. Let it bubble and thicken slightly, then return the salmon and shrimp to the pan. Spoon sauce over everything and simmer for 1–2 minutes.

Assemble the Dish: Serve the salmon and shrimp over a bed of garlic butter rice. Drizzle extra sauce on top and garnish with fresh parsley if desired
