Korean Steak Sandwich with Jalapenos and Garlic Mayo

Ingredients:

1 lb flank steak
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon grated ginger
4 ciabatta rolls or sandwich buns
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup sliced cucumber
Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Directions:

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and grated ginger. Pour the marinade over the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and crushed garlic to make the garlic mayo.
Toast the ciabatta rolls or sandwich buns until lightly golden.
Spread a generous amount of garlic mayo on the bottom half of each roll. Top with sliced steak, jalapeno slices, shredded lettuce, and sliced cucumber. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
Cover with the top half of the rolls and serve immediately.
