Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow
Ingredients:
- 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup strawberry-flavored powdered drink mix (like Kool-Aid)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Place the Rice Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and crushed freeze-dried strawberries into the melted white chocolate.
4. Pour the white chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex cereal and gently stir to coat evenly.
5. In a separate small bowl, combine the powdered sugar and strawberry-flavored powdered drink mix.
6. Transfer the coated cereal to a large resealable plastic bag, add the powdered sugar mixture, seal, and shake gently until the cereal is well coated.
7. Spread the coated puppy chow on wax paper to cool and set before serving.
