When you bake your Easter Ham, save that Juice.......When you bake a ham, save your juice to make ham rice later on. Pour it into a mason jar, the fat floats to the top. The fat forms a cover over the juice. Store it in your refrigerator and just remove the fat from the top when you get ready to make your rice. It was an 11 pound ham and it yielded 4 cups of juice, which will make two cups of rice. You don’t have to add salt when cooking your rice either.
**Addendum....We had a lot of great suggestions from people below on how they use Ham juice. I have used it for rice and dumplings. Some people make dressing, some use it to flavor their macaroni & cheese, and some people use it to cook their greens and green beans in. So don’t ever toss it, food is too high and you can do so much with it,❤️
**Nite..You can store this in your refrigerator for 14 days. If you aren’t going to use it within 14 days, you can freeze it for up to 12 months.
