🍫 Giant Peanut Butter Cup Pie 🥜
Ingredients:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter (divided)
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Prepare the Base Layer:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into a 9-inch pie pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom and slightly up the sides to form the base. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or until firm.
Make the Peanut Butter Filling:
In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of peanut butter, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Spread the peanut butter mixture over the chilled chocolate base, smoothing it into an even layer.
Top with Chocolate Layer:
Melt the remaining chocolate chips in the same manner as before. Stir in 1/2 cup of peanut butter until smooth and pourable. Spread this chocolate mixture over the peanut butter filling, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
Chill and Set:
Place the pie in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until completely set. For best results, allow it to chill overnight.
Add Garnishes:
If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts over the top for added texture and visual appeal.
Serve and Enjoy:
Slice the pie into wedges and serve chilled. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
