๐ One-Pan Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sausage Rice ๐โจ
This easy, one-pan meal is packed with smoky sausage, zesty BBQ flavor, and tender rice โ all simmered to perfection in a single skillet. Perfect for busy weeknights when you want something hearty, quick, and full of bold taste! ๐ฅ
Ingredients:
โข 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced or cut into bite-sized chunks
โข 1 cup uncooked white rice
โข 1 teaspoon garlic powder
โข 1 teaspoon paprika
โข Salt & black pepper, to taste
โข 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
โข ยฝ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
Instructions:
Brown the Sausage ๐ฅ
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sausage pieces and cook until nicely browned and caramelized on all sides.
Take them out of the pan and set aside.
Toast the Rice & Spices ๐พโจ
In the same pan, add the uncooked rice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Stir constantly for 1โ2 minutes to lightly toast the rice and bring out the flavors of the spices.
Add Broth & BBQ Sauce ๐งช๐
Pour in the broth and BBQ sauce. Mix well to combine everything.
Let it come to a light boil.
Simmer Until Done โณ
Turn the heat down to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 18โ20 minutes โ or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
Finish & Serve ๐
Return the sausage to the pan and stir everything together.
Let it sit off the heat for a couple of minutes so the flavors blend nicely.
