Peanut Butter Cup Gooey Bars
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup chocolate chips
30 Miniature Peanut Butter Cups
1 (14 ounce) can fat-free sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan, pressing it down gently.
Unwrap the Miniature Peanut Butter Cups and place them evenly over the top of the dough.
In a small bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and creamy peanut butter. Pour this mixture over the dough and peanut butter cups, spreading it out to cover evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
