For the Steak:
4 ribeye or sirloin steaks (6-8 oz each)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken or seafood stock
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Steaks: Season steaks with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked to your liking. Remove and rest.
2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté shrimp with Cajun seasoning until pink, about 3 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce: Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant. Stir in stock, heavy cream, Parmesan, smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Add the shrimp back into the sauce.
4️⃣ Combine and Serve: Spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the steaks and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
