Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli
Sweet and Savory Shrimp & Sausage Stir-Fry with Tender Broccoli
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sesame seeds and sliced green onions (optional for garnish)
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
Directions:
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch mixed with water. Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in broccoli florets with a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3–4 minutes, then uncover and sauté until bright green and tender. Remove and set aside.
Add shrimp to the pan with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, or until just pink and cooked through.
Return the sausage and broccoli to the skillet. Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and everything is coated and glossy.
Serve hot over rice, noodles, or on its own. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
