SLOW COOKER CHICKEN FRANCESE #sundaydinner
2 lb. chicken pieces (your choice)
1 (10 oz.) can cream of broccoli soup
1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
2 lemons, thinly sliced, seeds removed
2-3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1-2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. fresh or dried tarragon leaves
salt and pepper, to taste
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray (Pam). Layer chicken pieces. (optional - brown chicken in an olive oil coated fry pan beforee placing in slow cooker) Top each piece of chicken with a lemon slice, garlic slices and a small pat of butter. Sprinkle with tarragon, salt and pepper. Repeat layers until chicken pieces are all in pot. Mix soup and wine or broth and pour over chicken.
Cook on LOW for 8 hours. Serve with rice or noodles.
