🍖 Bobby Flay Salisbury Steak
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp flour (for gravy)
1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4-6 patties.
2️⃣ Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ In the same skillet, add onions and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Sprinkle with flour and stir to form a roux.
4️⃣ Gradually add beef broth while stirring, and bring to a simmer.
5️⃣ Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and cook for 10–15 minutes until the gravy thickens and the patties are cooked through.
6️⃣ Stir in butter for a silky finish, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
