Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions 🌶️
Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup beef broth
Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, sesame oil, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and add the beef broth. Stir well and bring the sauce to a simmer.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the steak is coated with the sauce.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
