Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
For the Cajun Shrimp Sauce:
½ lb (225g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken or beef broth
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Juice of half a lemon
Instructions:
1. Cook the Steak
Pat steaks dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil and butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side (or longer for desired doneness). Remove and let rest.
2. Make the Cajun Shrimp Sauce
Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
In the same skillet, melt butter and cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, then pour in heavy cream and broth. Stir well.
Add Parmesan, paprika, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens.
Stir in shrimp, parsley, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
3. Assemble & Serve
Pour the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the steaks.
Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
