Steak Bites with Creamy Mushroom Sauce 🥩🍄
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
1 lb beef tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
4 oz mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Sear the Steak: Season the steak cubes with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes on all sides until browned.
Make the Mushroom Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter with olive oil. Add chopped onion and mushrooms and cook until softened. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
Assemble: Place the seared steak cubes in a bowl. Pour the creamy mushroom sauce over the steak and serve immediately.
