Easy One-Pan Bold Honey BBQ Chicken with Rice
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet or pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Cook the chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
Add the Rice and Sauce: Stir in the rice and cook for 1-2 minutes. Pour in the chicken broth, BBQ sauce, and honey. Stir everything together to combine.
Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
Garnish and Serve: Once the rice is cooked and the flavors have melded, remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
