Butterfinger Caramel Crunch Bars
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed Butterfinger bars
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 1/2 cups crisped rice cereal
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed Butterfinger bars and crisped rice cereal; set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
4. Add caramel sauce and corn syrup, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
6. Pour the caramel mixture over the Butterfinger and cereal mixture and gently fold until evenly coated.
7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, pressing it down firmly and evenly.
8. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
9. Drizzle or spread the melted chocolate evenly over the caramel crunch layer.
10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
11. Once firm, cut into bars and serve.
