Corn Flake Candy π¬
Ingredients:
1 cup light corn syrup π―
1 cup granulated sugar π
1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural) π₯
5 cups corn flakes π½
Instructions:
Line a sheet pan with wax paper or parchment paper π
Place corn syrup and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently, just until the mixture reaches a boil and the sugar is dissolved, about 4β5 minutes π―
Take off the heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth π₯
Place the corn flakes in a large bowl and pour the peanut butter mixture over the top, stirring quickly to combine πͺοΈ
Drop by spoonfuls onto the parchment or wax paper and let cool to room temperatureβthe candy will set as it cools π¬
To make wreaths, add 4β5 drops of green food coloring to the hot sugar mixture along with the peanut butter, then proceed as directed but shape into wreaths and decorate with mini red M&Ms π
If desired, top with sprinkles or drizzle with melted chocolate before the candy sets π«
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze in a resealable freezer bag for up to one month βοΈ
