Chicken Mushroom Recipe
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon ground or smoked paprika
½ cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium and add butter, onions, and garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
Add mushrooms, thyme, and ground or smoked paprika, cooking for 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and mustard, simmering until the sauce thickens.
Return the chicken to the skillet and let simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes until fully cooked.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
Enjoy!
