Dragon Sauce
Ingredients:
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
Mix the base: In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sriracha. Stir well.
Make a slurry: In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth.
Simmer the sauce: Heat the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
Thicken: Slowly whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Stir constantly as the sauce thickens to a smooth consistency.
Cool and serve: Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool slightly. Use immediately or store for later.
Notes:
Adjust the sriracha if you want it milder or spicier.
Great as a marinade, dipping sauce, or drizzle over noodles, rice, or grilled dishes.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 week in an airtight container.
